Anthony Michael Scibelli, born April 20, 1956, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, surrounded by love. Anthony was a renaissance man with a diverse range of interests but his greatest joy in life was being a father to his daughters, Olivia, and Samantha.
Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Coney Island & Queens, Anthony was brought up by a lively Italian family who loved to be together. He spent most of his adult life in and around Saratoga Springs, NY and came to love the outdoors, expanding his interests to exploring the Adirondacks, bow hunting, and fly fishing. A lifelong athlete starting with football, he prioritized his health and became an accomplished yogi and long distance cyclist. He always had a camera with him for those long bike rides, capturing landscapes with a unique sense of wonder.
A spiritual seeker, Anthony found grounding through meditation and the teachings of Christ accentuated by his passion for history and regard for science. His love of learning is matched by his intricate hobbies including tying flies and maintaining his Porsche 911. He took pleasure in tending to his historic homestead where he would spend hours in his workshop, sprawling vegetable garden and greenhouse.
Anthony was a man of ideas and entrepreneurship, founding successful businesses and forming enduring friendships along the way. He cherished his alma mater, Hamilton College, where he nurtured lifelong connections with fellow alumni. As busy as he liked to stay, nothing pleased him more than a leisurely walk through the town he held dear, Saratoga Springs.
Anthony will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially his devoted children. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, adventure, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures.
