Byron Wafrock, an incredible man who had no shortage of love to give to all those he encountered. He was a son, father, brother, husband, grandchild, and a friend to nearly everyone he encountered. Above all else he was a kind soul. Those who were fortunate to have met Byron will unanimously share that the laughter was never in short supply; to those whom he loved, the love was given deeply. Underneath the tough exterior was a gentle spirit. There was no greater display of this gentleness than when Byron was with his daughter Vale. Byron always desired to exemplify the incredible fatherly role that his father provided for him, and he did it with finesse and incredible poise.
The Florida Gator nation lost their biggest fan. The Wafrock family lost a vital member to the team. The world lost a much needed beacon of light. He is now at peace and likely catching up with his Nanny, Uncle, and Step dad, as he watches over us all.
Despite the setbacks Byron may have endured, he managed to persist and do whatever he had to do to press on. A great person is measured by all the great tests they undergo and still remain true to who they are: Byron was a great person by all accounts. He was a fighter, a true gladiator who endured more in his life than most do in several lifetimes. It is only fair to believe that the army in heaven needed a general and it was his time to serve. It is with a heavy heart that we must learn to continue on without him, but there is no doubt that he would desire us to remember the litany of laughs he provided, and hugs he shared with us all.
