In Loving Memory of David "Moe" Glen Vinsel

August 14th, 1950 - November 10th, 2023

David Vinsel was born on August 14th, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, to his loving parents, Maurice and Reba Vinsel. He departed from this world on November 10th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and indelible memories.

David's life was a remarkable journey marked by a passion for adventure, a thirst for knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to the people and causes he held dear. From his early days playing flag football in Zanesville to his successful career in sales, his active involvement in his community, and his deep love for family and friends, David's impact on those around him was immeasurable.

He was a graduate of Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He continued to apply his knowledge and skills throughout his career. His professional journey led him to companies like Polaroid and Tenex Corporation, where his dedication, charisma, and unparalleled salesmanship earned him numerous accolades and awards. The guy could sell ketchup to a person in white gloves. 

After his sales days were over, David drove a school bus in Guilford, Connecticut. Because, why not?

David was not only a scholar and professional, but also a dedicated sports enthusiast. His passion for baseball was unparalleled. He was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians. One of David's most remarkable accomplishments was his quest to visit every baseball park that existed. His love for the game took him on incredible journeys, and his stories of these adventures were legendary among his clients, friends and family.

David found solace and strength within his spiritual community, and his devotion to his faith and his God were unwavering. He also had a deep commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous and influenced and helped many others in need to beat addiction. He had been sober for over 30 years at his passing. 

David's sense of humor was legendary and was known for his ability to make people smile and laugh. He had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, making friends wherever he went. His infectious laughter and warm smile could brighten even the darkest of days. David was mischievously delightful, and he was a crowd pleaser, always ready to bring joy to those around him. He could also hit a mean air-guitar.

Above all, David's love for his family knew no bounds. He is survived by his brother, Jeff (Penny) Vinsel; beloved daughter, Kelly (Josh) Cole; his son, John (Katelyn) Vinsel; his daughters, Madelyn (Sam) Fix and Lilian Vinsel; and his grandchildren, Hudson and Callan Cole, as well as Jera and Harper Vinsel. David's love and devotion to his family was unwavering, and his role as a father and grandfather was a source of immense joy and pride. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts…and maybe cause a little trouble too;  just like him.

David Vinsel's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His kindness, generosity, zest for life, active involvement in his community, and deep love for family and friends will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the incredible person he was and the joy he brought to our lives.

May David Vinsel rest in eternal peace, and may his memory forever be a source of laughter, comfort, inspiration, and love to us all.

David will continue to help other families and individuals combat Alzheimer's Disease for years to come with the help of his and your donations. 

Details on the Celebration of Life Ceremony will be forthcoming but will be held in Zanesville, Ohio in early 2024. He will spend the holidays kept with Kelly and her family whilst listening to Christmas music and perhaps a random AC/DC tune.
