Debra Marie “Debbie” Rainwater passed away at home on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Debbie was born to Ronald Rainwater and Shirley Mosher on October 5, 1969. She had four siblings.
Growing up in Los Angeles, California, Debbie attended Bellflower High School and Cerritos College. For most of her life, she worked as a medical transcriptionist, a career she was very proud of.
Debbie had two children, Chantel and Marcus, who were the loves of her life.
As an adult, Debbie lived in California and Michigan before settling in Tennessee. She became a fierce advocate for addiction recovery and sober living, developing an online following as a role model.
Debbie is remembered for her unwavering strength in face of adversity; her faith; and her unapologetic personality. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend; even more than that, she was a hero to anyone lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her daughter Chantel and son-in-law Crys Scruggs; son Marcus Wilson and girlfriend Rebecca; four grandchildren; her mother and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald and her brother Ronnie.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Narrows of the Harpth park in Kingston Springs, TN, the location of her favorite waterfall.
