Janice Rose Will

November 12, 1942 — May 29, 2022

Janice Rose Will, beloved mother, grandmother, wife and friend passed away May 29th, 2022, at the age of 79, into the arms of her loving Savior.

Janice was a devoted wife and mother. Since her humble beginnings growing up in rural Arkansas, she knew all she wanted in life was to be just that. She was the only daughter and the first of four children to Ollie and Vivian Faulkner. She cared for and helped raise her three younger brothers, and at the age of nine they moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan. At 15, she met the love of her life, David, at church. She went on to graduate from Benton Harbor High School and then attended North Central Bible College alongside her soon to be husband. Janice and David were married in 1965.

They lived in many states over several years and had three daughters. Eventually they landed in Tennessee in 1976, where they stayed and raised their family. Janice often had to play the role of mother and father while her husband spent many hours on the road singing with The Imperials while ministering to bring people to Jesus. Supporting her husband was her ministry. She spent time working on her art and sometimes teaching classes at church. She also was a talented cook and baker.

She later started traveling with David as she felt drawn to assist him in his ministry when their children were older. After retiring she spent her well-deserved time doing what she loved…spending time with her family, entertaining and having girls’ days with her daughters. She especially loved caring for her granddaughter Vivian when she became a grandmother in 2009.

Janice was the kindest of women with a warm and welcoming spirit. She was as incredibly funny as she was beautiful. She was a patient mother who encouraged her children’s individuality while teaching them to love Jesus. She also was a supportive and faithful friend.

She always carried herself with grace and elegance, but her legacy will be love. She so loved her family but more than anything she loved Jesus with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and were blessed to be loved by her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David O. Will as well as her brothers Gary, Thomas and Roger Faulkner.

She is survived by daughters Lisa Will Brinker, Angela Will Smith and Nicole Will McDougal (Robert) and their 12-year-old daughter Vivian McDougal.

A private celebration of Janice’s life will be held by her family at a later time. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Multiplied, P.O. Box 111060, Nashville, TN 37222 in Janice’s memory. Arrangements by Lumen Cremation, Nashville, TN.
