Mr. Herbert William Rowlett

Herbert William Rowlett, 86, Fairview, TN went to his heavenly resting place on November 28, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Jean. He also leaves behind his daughter Viki Jordan (Jim) and son Bill Rowlett (Tanya), three grandchildren, Miranda Brown (Matthew), Dylan Gaunder (Ashley), and William Jordan, and great-granddaughter, Lyla Brown; as well as his sister, Mable McIntosh.

Herbert was proceeded in death by his parents, William Henry and Delia Mae Rowlett, née Garvin, and his brother James H. Rowlett.

Herbert was a life-long Methodist and was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. He retired from Ford Glass plant after 35 years of service. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Herbert was always willing to lend a hand to help friends with projects large or small. His generous spirit and quick wit radiated from him like the bright light God wants us all to show. He was kindhearted to his core and was his family’s anchor.  Herbert delighted in making all of us laugh with his silly jokes and goofy faces. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The celebration of life for Herbert will be held at Hillcrest UMC, 5112 Raywood Lane, Nashville, TN, 37211, on December, 18^th. The family will greet visitors at 12 o’clock followed by the memorial service at 1 o’clock.
