Tonja Elizabeth Roerdink

On Sunday, March 31, 2024, Tonja E. Roerdink, beloved wife, loving mother of five children and three grandchildren, passed away at the age of 54.

Tonja was born on January 22, 1970 in Ringgold, GA to Tommy and Esther (Bruner) James. She was raised in a Christian home with three brothers, Philip, Steven, and Jonathan.  On October 26, 1996, she married Jason Roerdink. Together, they raised four boys, Michael, Isaiah, Caleb, and Benjamin, and one daughter, Emma.

  Tonja had a warm and tender heart and wanted nothing more in life than to stay at home and raise her children. She gave her time and love to everyone around her and would always brighten a room with her laughter, her infectious smile, and her compassionate spirit. She loved listening to classic hymns, the planting of flowers in the spring, and enjoying time and life with family camping and trips to the beach.

  Tonja is survived by her husband Jason, her five children, Michael, Isaiah, Caleb, Benjamin, and Emma, three grandchildren, Mason, Kaia, and Imogen, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 372 Caldwell Dr.,Goodlettsville, TN at five thirty p.m. Arrangements by Lumen Cremation, 355 East Main Street, Hendersonville, TN, 37075.
